Gaming culture is only growing
In recent years, esports has grown from a niche hobby into a serious industry in our region too. Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have an increasingly active community of players, viewers and content creators, from gaming cafes and university clubs to increasingly professional tournaments and streaming platforms.
Young people in the region follow local and regional streamers, watch major world tournaments, and increasingly take part through local competitions. That makes esports one of the fastest-growing channels for reaching a younger audience.
Titles that are currently most popular in the region:
eSports as a marketing channel
Unlike traditional media, the esports audience is young, engaged, and hard to reach through classic advertising. Tournament sponsorships, streamer partnerships and advertising alongside gaming content are becoming an increasingly important part of regional brands' marketing strategy.
Local tournaments
More and more amateur and semi-professional leagues are popping up across Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, from gaming cafes to university competitions.
Streaming community
Regional Twitch and Kick streamers are building bigger audiences, and local-language content draws loyal viewers.
A young audience
Esports mostly attracts a young, digitally active audience that spends a lot of time online and is hard to reach through traditional advertising.
Growing brand interest
More local and regional companies are recognizing esports as an opportunity for sponsorships, influencer partnerships and advertising.
